1. PSY

Okay, it was catchy and cute at first, but now we’re all pretty much sick of “Gangnam Style”, PSY’s hit single. When the video was posted online, it got over 1 billion views, which is pretty impressive. The new take on the Harlem Shake became the replacement for “Gangnam Style”, but the song will always be regarded as this generation’s “Macarena”—another initially cute but eventually annoying song that we all wanted to get out of our heads at some point. Of course, PSY has tried to make new music, but it wasn’t received as well as his first single. It’s only a matter of time before no one recognizes him.

2. Grumpy Cat

Sure, Grumpy Cat is cute. Yes, the cat’s face of disapproval is quite appropriate when you just can’t find the words to describe something you’ve just seen or heard. However, you’ve got to admit that it’s the creative people behind the hilarious memes featuring the cat that make this feline a star. After all, there’s always a cuter animal who could easily serve as Grump Cat’s meme replacement. Yes, we realize that cats on the Internet have been a thing for quite some time, but it may only be a matter of time before people are sick of seeing cats be grumpy—or any other emotion.

3. Courtney Stodden

Courtney Stodden
Aspiring actress Courtney Stodden got famous after she married actor Doug Hutchinson. He was 51 when they tied the knot, and she had to get permission from a parent or guardian to be his wife, because she was only 16. Hutchinson is best known for his side character role in Lost. The couple had been trying to get a reality show for years now, which is how they’ve stayed relevant. They also got a stint in the VH1 reality show, Couples Therapy. That’s probably the last you’ll really hear of them. After all, if their fame is dwindling now, they’ll likely be non-existent in Hollywood in five years. Unfortunately, none of Stodden’s plastic surgeries or adult film appearances will keep her and her husband famous for long.

4. Blake Lively

Sure, Blake Lively’s got that fresh-faced, girl next door look. That’s probably why she’ll likely be forgotten in about five years. Sure, she stars in those commercials about hair dye you can apply at home, and she starred in Gossip Girl and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies, but with her recent movie choices like The Age of Adelaide, chances are she won’t be around much longer. It seems that movies about unrealistic aging are the kiss of death for acting careers in some cases. Lively has expressed that she has an interest in cooking and home decor, so maybe that will be next for her. She’s also got her actor husbandRyan Reynolds, and baby girl James, to keep her busy.

5. Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande was one of the breakout stars for the Nickelodeon teen sitcom, Victorious. When the show was cancelled, she maintained her role as Cat in the spin-off series Sam & Cat, starring alongside Jeanette McCurdy, who played brash tomboy Sam on iCarly. Rumors swirled about the two fighting on set, but some interviews with McCurdy confirmed that the two were probably just tired of being typecast. Sam & Catis no more, and Ariana has gone on to pursue a music career. She’s been doing pretty well, and has a beautiful voice. She’s even been called the next Mariah Carey. We’ve all seen what has happened to Carey’s golden pipes over the years, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if no one can recall Ariana Grande in the next half-decade.

6. Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen
Remember when singer Carly Rae Jepsen stormed the music world with her hit single “Call Me Maybe?” That was a few years ago, but the song got the attention of Jimmy Fallon, and he and The Roots did a remix of the song on Fallon’s late-night show. Jepsen even had the opportunity to sing “Call Me Maybe” on New Year’s Eve in Times Square. She’s come out with other singles since then, including “Tonight I’m Getting Over You” and “I Really Like You.” While the songs are nice, they didn’t have quite the appeal of her debut single. Looks like music fans are giving her one more chance to release another catchy tune before they forget all about her.

7. The Kardashians

This may be hard to believe, but people are actually starting to get sick of the Kardashians. They’re always on the entertainment blogs and tabloids, and they pretty much star in every show that comes in E! except for the entertainment news. Some would say that the family does anything to get attention, and the fact thatKim had a wedding special on television and Caitlyn Jenner now has a spin-off reality show, makes it hard to argue with this theory. The Kardashians have had a good run, but unless they do something really newsworthy in the next few years, they’re likely to be replaced by a new family of attention-seekers.
