Not everyone has time to bake up elaborate Halloween cupcakes and cakes, but a box of donuts and some candy can help you create some fun treats come All Hallows’ Eve.
Trust us, you will not regret making this monstrous creation. Here’s how: Cover one chocolate doughnut with green frosting. Cut multi-colored fruit laces into pieces; use equal sized-pieces for squinty eyes, small pieces for nostrils, and assorted sized for hair. Press two spice drops into the side of the donut for bolts. Place fruit leather in the hole to form tongue.
2. MINI CHOCOLATE SPIDERS
Here are some creepy crawlers that are more delicious than terrifying. For each spider: Cut the two curved sides off of four large pretzel twists, and push the ends into the top of a mini chocolate donut to form legs. Use frosting (or melted chocolate) to attach two cinnamon candies for eyes.
3. THREE-EYED MMM…MONSTER
Pretty much an excuse to eat a doughnut plus three lollipops (whoops!). Wrap gummy rings around small lollipops to create eyes. Cut the lollipop sticks, and stick into donuts. Frost the donut with colored icing (we used orange, but tint any color!). Press candy corns on frosting around the donut hole to form a mouth.
4. YUMMY MUMMY
You’re three steps away from making this easy, eerie treat. Start with powdered donut (or plain donut dusted with confectioners’ sugar). Pipe on uneven lines of white frosting, and press on two candy eyeballs.
